A densely packed green cabbage forming rounded heads with short cores that can reach up to 5 pounds. Heads are ready to harvest when they feel firm to to the touch. Great for storage, slaws, braised, and more. Boasts good disease resistance.
Cabbage is a cool season crop and should be planted for spring or fall seasons to avoid the heat of the summer which causes the plants to bolt. Partial shade in hot afternoon heat can help. Drought can also cause the plants to bolt. Prefers consistently moist, well drained soil rich in organic matter.
