Cymbopogon citratus

Tall warm-season clumping grass used in Southeast Asian cuisine for its stalks packed with bright lemony flavor.

Prefers well drained soil but does not like to dry out. Harvest stalks by cutting at the base. Before winter in zones 8 and above stalks can all be cut at the base, cut into 6" sections, and frozen to keep using throughout the winter.
