Winter squash variety dating back to the early 1900s. Mature squash is 10″ long, oblong, pale yellow, and flesh is stringy and “pasta” like with a sweet and nutty flavor. Great as a pasta alternative broiled or baked.

 

 

 

Winter squash require full sun, plenty of space to grow, and well-drained soil rich with organic matter. Be careful while watering to avoid keep the foliage from staying damp. Winter squash are ready to harvest when most of the vine has died back and the squash are fully mature.
