Tomato ‘Arkansas Traveler’

Solanum lycopersicum

Southern slicing variety from late 1800s passed down for its durability in the southern heat and in the toughest soils. Fruits are pinkish red with rich tomato flavor.

Indeterminate type. Good disease resistance as well as drought and heat tolerance.

Tomatoes require full sun, plenty of space for good air circulation, and well-drained soil rich with organic matter. They also require support from stakes, cages, or trellises so they don't sprawl. Avoid directly watering the foliage.
