Cavano’s Perennials Welcomes David Culp as VP of Sales and Marketing

Cavano’s Perennials is pleased to announce David Culp will be joining our team as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. David comes to us with a diverse background in all thing’s chlorophyll, including serving as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Sunny Border Nurseries (CT), perennial buyer at Waterloo Gardens (PA), independent plant breeder, instructor at Longwood Gardens, award winning author, and founder of the Galanthus Gala, just to name a few.

Along with his partner, Michael Alderfer, David created the gardens at Brandywine Cottage in Downingtown, PA (also the home to his breeding program). You may be familiar with Brandywine Hybrid Strain of Hellebores, these were developed by David. While David has been traveling the nation lecturing about plants and gardening for over 25 years, he is most recently recognized for his webinars with Garden Design.

David’s involvement with green industry organizations is widespread as well, including the Perennial Plant Association, Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, Hardy Plant Society, GardenComm, and many of the public gardens within the Mid-Atlantic Region. Whether writing about gardening or designing gardens, David’s desire to make the world a greener place is clearly evident.

A plantsman and hands-on gardener, David is keen on helping garden centers and landscape designers extend and expand their season with unique and interesting plant offerings. We look forward to working with David as Cavano’s Perennials becomes known as a destination for unique plants, expert perennial advice, and service. Be sure to stop by the Cavano’s Perennials booth (#2201) at MANTS in January to welcome David to his new role.
