Selected by breeder Hans Hansen of Walter’s Gardens for its lovely creamy yellow margins and deep green centers. The wide leaves forming the compact rosette curl slightly upwards and have small white wiry “hairs” indicative of the species. Great for containers, although, depending on your hardiness zone, it should be overwintered indoors. The common name Century Plant is a slightly exaggerated reference to the infrequency of the bloom, which occurs in optimal conditions only once at about 20 years.
