Alcea attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Prefers average, medium moisture well drained soil. Tolerates a wide range of soils. Intolerant of winter wet soils. Since it’s a short lived plant, allow to self seed in the garden. Rabbit resistant. Height 5-7'.
