Perhaps the most unique and whimsical of all the alliums. A. schubertii forms an 18” flower head formed with rose-pink florets of widely varying lengths. The overall effect is one of fireworks in mid display. Also known as Tumbleweed Allium for the incredible starburst shaped seed heads that remain and can blow around the garden.
