Deep purple spherical flower heads reach 4-6" in diameter. A cross of A. atropurpureum and A. karataviense. Hybrid ornamental onion with compact clumps of foliage and round, purple flower heads held on sturdy stems in late spring to early summer. More compact in height, with wide blue-green foliage that holds up well. Offers a tidy, uniform habit suitable for massing, edging, or container use. Prefers full sun and well-drained soil and is attractive to bees and other pollinators while generally unappealing to deer and rodents.
