Aquilegia rockii (Columbine)

Native to high altitude regions of Southern China, this aquilegia has downward faced rosy lilac blooms with a soft yellow interior and inwardly curved spurs. It tends to bloom later in spring than its European and American cousins. Softly lobed silver-green foliage has purple margins as the new foliage grows in.
