Evergreen arrowhead shaped leaves are glossy dark green with silvery green mottling. Small brown jug shaped blooms appear close to the ground in mid-spring and are pollinated by ants. Prefers moist soils in woodland settings. An excellent woodland groundcover and quite drought tolerant once established.
