Selection of the native swamp milkweed with pure white blooms. Flowers are attractive to a myriad of pollinators in late summer and are followed by seed pods that split open and disperse the downy haired seed. Leaves are long, narrow, and pointed. Larval host plant of the monarch and queen butterflies. Prefers consistently moist soils but will tolerate even average soils.
