Astilbe chinensis var. taquetii ‘Superba’

Impressive light purple to rose plume-like panicle bloom stalks soar 4 feet above the ground in this standout Astilbe. ‘Superba’ belongs to the taquetii variety noted for its tightly held, large bloom stalks covered fuzzy hairs. Astilbe chinensis varieties bloom slightly later in the season and are slightly more sun tolerant than x arendsii hybrids and they can tolerate more drought, although they still much prefer consistently moist, rich soils.
