Dense clump forming wetland sedge with striking texture. Attractive bright green leaves resemble palm fronds. In summer, triangular leafy stems rise slightly above the foliage bearing narrow ellipse shaped spikelets. Height 2-3’.
Carex attracts birds to the garden. Prefers average, medium to wet soils. Do not allow to dry out. Tolerates shallow water. May self seed in the garden. Cool season grass. Deer and rabbit resistant.
