Carex radiata (Eastern Star Sedge)

A dense clump of narrow, medium green, evergreen leaves. Star shaped cluster of flowers appear above the foliage. Height  24-30".

Carex attracts birds and butterflies to the garden. Prefers moist to moderately wet, rich loamy soils. Do not allow to dry out. Will self seed in the garden. Cool season grass. Deer and rabbit resistant.
