Tall spikes of tubular, star like, orange-red flowers with yellow throats over top of green sword shaped leaves. Height 2-3'.
Crocosmia attracts butterflies and hummingbirds, the seed pods in the fall attracts birds. Prefers moderately fertile, humus rich, moist well drained soil. Drought tolerate when established. Tolerates heat, humidity and salts. Deer and rabbit resistant.
