Tall spikes of tubular, star like, bright orange flowers with crimson throats over top of green, sword shaped leaves. Height 24-30".
Crocosmia attracts butterflies and hummingbirds, the seed pods in the fall attracts birds. Prefers moderately fertile, humus rich, moist well drained soil. Drought tolerate when established. Tolerates heat, humidity and salts. Deer and rabbit resistant.
