Dalea purpurea (Purple Prairie Clover)

Bean like green foliage with dense cylinder shaped spikes of rosy purple florets. Height 12-24".

Dalea attracts bees and butterflies to the garden. Prefers average, dry to medium well drained soil. Drought tolerant when established. Tolerates clay soil, controlled burns, heat, salt and sandy soil. May self seed in the garden.
