Digitalis purpurea ‘Dalmatian Purple’ (Foxglove)

Dalmatian Series

(Bloody Bells, Lady’s Glove, Thimble Flower, Throat Root, Witches’ Fingers)

Sturdy, rose purple spikes accented with pronounced spotted throats. Height 24″.

Sturdy, relatively compact foxglove with spires of purple bells heavily spotted inside, flowering early compared to many traditional strains. Frequently grown as a biennial or short-lived perennial, but often self-seeds lightly in favorable sites. Best in partial shade or cool morning sun with moist, well-drained soils and should be kept away from small children and pets due to toxicity.
