Profusion of golf-ball sized, densely packed with white, starry flowers, borne at the end of sturdy, reddish stems contrasting with silvery-green leaves. Height 2-3'.
Echinops attracts bees and butterflies. Prefers poor, dry to medium well drained soil. Tolerant of heat and humidity. Drought tolerate when established. Deadhead to prevent self seeding. Deer and rabbit resistant.
