Purplish blue, egg shaped, spiny flowers on silver blue stems. Height 6-12".
Eryngium attracts bees and butterflies. Prefers dry, sandy well drained soils. Tolerant of hot, dry sites, and soils high in salts. The sunnier the site, the more intense the blue. Deer and rabbit resistant.
