Clusters of small egg shaped flowerheads tightly packed with tiny greenish white flowers, subtended by white pointed bracts rising above sword shape, spiny edge, blue grey leaves. Height 4-5'.

Eryngium attracts bees, butterflies and other pollinators. Prefers dry, well drained soil. Drought and poor soil tolerate when established. May self seed in the garden. Deer and rabbit resistant.
