Evergreen shrub with leathery green leaves that turn red in the fall.  Small white to pink flowers followed by red edible berries. This will make a beautiful groundcover in a wooded area.

Gaultheria attracts birds and other wildlife to the garden. Prefers moist well drained soil. Drought tolerant when established.
