Deep lavender blooms atop tall upright stems and fragrant glossy green foliage. A naturally occurring selection which boasts a sturdier habit and darker foliage than the straight species. Excellent powdery mildew resistance. 'Claire Grace' and other M. fistulosa varieties tolerate dry soils better than M. didyma varieties. Height 3-4'.
Monarda attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Prefers moderately fertile, humus rich, moist well drained soil. Drought tolerate when established. Deadhead to promote new blooms. Deer and rabbit resistant.
