A tall, floriferous beebalm with masses of bright, reddish-purple blooms on sturdy, upright plants. Fragrant, dark green, foliage is highly resistant to powdery mildew. Height 3-4'.
Monarda attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Prefers moderately fertile, humus rich, moist well drained soil. Do not all to dry out. Deadhead to promote new blooms. Deer and rabbit resistant.
