Cold hardy Opuntia hybrid with showstopper blooms. The parentage is not clear, but the theories include O. aura, basilaris, fragilis, and more. What we do know for sure is the hot pink blooms completely cover the cactus in summer and stop you in your tracks. For a compact cactus, this variety packs a punch. Pads are 2-3" with short spines and form a densely packed clump. Well drained soil is a must, so pot it up in a container or gravelly garden soil to enjoy this unique beauty year-round.
