Cold hardy succulent native to Russia, Mongolia, Tibet, and China with fleshy greenish to bronze foliar rosettes surrounding a circular embedded flower bud. Slowly spreads via rhizomes. The common name Dunce’s Caps makes more sense in late summer when the flowers bloom in a 6” conical flowering stalk creating a highly unique sight. Requires excellent drainage.
