An erect stemmed and narrow clump of blue foliage turning dark golden in the fall with a profusion of finely textured, airy golden flower panicles. Deer resistant. Height 5-7'.
Panicum attracts birds and butterflies to the garden. Prefers average, medium to wet soils. Drought tolerant when established. Tolerates air pollution, clay soils, dry soils, occasional flooding and sandy soils. Warm season grass.
