Native to the Rocky Mountain region, this penstemon has unique slightly pendulous eggplant purple blooms clustered at the top of flowering stems. Thin delicate hair covers the tops of the blooms giving them a fuzzy appearance. Deep green lance shaped leaves arranged in pairs are spaced along flowering stems and form a small basal rosette. Prefers lean well-drained soil.
