Native to the Caucasus Mountains, this salvia forms a low mat of rosettes of oblong leaves that appear silvery white due to the velvety hairs covering them. In early summer blue-violet flowers with deep purple bracts stud flowering stalks rising 10” above the foliage. Prefers dry gravelly soil.
