An upright clump of blue-grey foliage bearing narrow, medium-tall spikes. Has a beautiful bronzy-orange fall color. Height 2-4'.
Schizachyrium attracts birds and butterflies. Prefers average, dry to medium well drained soil. Drought tolerant when established. Tolerates air pollution, dry soils, heat, humidity and a wide range of soil conditions. Warm season grass. Deer resistant.
