Towering flower stalks adorned with yellow disc-like blooms. Basal leaves are rough textured and reach up to 18" long, adding textural interest to the garden. Height 3-10'.
Silphium attracts birds, bees, and butterflies to the garden. Prefers average, dry to medium well drained soil. Drought tolerate when established. Tolerates poor soils.
