An ornamental grass with long, narrow arching leaves forming attractive clump in the landscape. The green leaves turns to a golden color with orange hues in the fall. The showy see through flower heads appear late summer and provides food for the birds. These flowers have an unique smell of coriander. Height 2-3'.
Sporobolus attracts birds to the garden. Prefers average, dry to medium well drained soil. Drought tolerant when established. Tolerates air pollution, dry soil, heavy clay and rocky soil. Warm season grass. Deer resistant.
